“A Story of Water” is a book that my father, Katsumi Komagata, made as a prototype in 2016 but kept it unpublished.
On the occasion of “The End and the Beginning -Memory of Katsumi Komagata,”
we decided to publish this book in conjunction with the event.
It would be a reminder of my father's life for those who interacted with him during his lifetime.
Many of my father's works were about water and life, and he believed that they “circulate” and that we “share” them.
Just as life becomes consciousness, water becomes air and circulates.
Perhaps because I learned this idea from my father, I miss him every day, but I am able to accept his death very naturally.
I hope that today, somewhere, life goes on and around and around, continuing its journey.
